Florian Leibert, the CEO and founder of Mesosphere, Inc., secured funding of approximately $50 million for the San Francisco enterprise company that also has an office in Hamburg Germany. The company focuses on the creation and management of distributed systems, which power major sites such as Airbnb, eBay, Netflix and Twitter. Florian Leibert and his team utilize the open-source technology Apache Mesos in enhancing the way distributed applications are written, deployed and managed. They are dedicated to making the writing and running of complex systems as simple as operating a smartphone app.

In building Mesosphere from the ground up, Florian Leibert has utilized his experience as a software architect and engineer and as a technical lead at leading Silicon Valley companies and high growth internet startups. From 2011 to 2013, he built and letthe data infrastructure team that provided Airbnb with its analytics capabilities. Airbnb is the leading two-sided marketplace that for letting people rent out lodging. He oversaw the creation of the Chronos framework, an innovative ETL scheduler for batch processing. Chronos is used across hundreds of companies and is a standard tool in big data infrastructure.
